The Unwelcome Livelihood
An abstract drawing of a pregnant teen in deep depression due to outward rejection by society.
You might be confused as to why the baby looks the way it does; the idea behind it is that while the mother naturally supports the child, the child can also be emotional support for her; the contrasting warm colors and "hand-like" shape suggests the attempts of consolation and an energetic purpose for life.
Media are Pastels on 12" x 16" Colored Paper.
