Sermon Sketch of the Week #1

Now it's time for the Sermon Sketch of the Week!!

Yes, I don't take notes from sermons. I draw. Why? Because I find it easier for me to retain what was taught, versus just writing notes. And let's be honest: who looks back to their notes on a regular basis, if at all? I don't know anyone of that caliber either. Besides, I was never a really good note-taker.

This is an old sketch from a church I used to go to. At this point, I was not sketching in sermons regularly but this one paved the way to that route. Her head looks quite odd today :/ but I still like it.

Illustrator Rendition of The Kitchen Maid

Some of you may already recognize this as The Kitchen Maid, an oil painting by Johannes Vermeer.

This is a rendition of the masterpiece composed entirely of out stacked solid color shapes using Adobe Illustrator. I've really grown to this application now. :3
